Messi’s Inter Miami debut already tells us what we can expect throughout the season. The Argentine’s performance proves why David Beckham and Co. signed him and also named him captain. Not only was it a true captain’s performance, but he also helped them clinch an important victory in the Leagues Cup against Cruz Azul.
The Herons have had a struggling start to the season. They are currently sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Hence, Messi’s primary goal will be to improve his team’s domestic position. He, along with his former Barcelona teammates, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, have been handed over a huge task. It remains to be seen how he manages to do it.
