“I Love This..”- After Months of Public Criticism Amid Feud With Gerard Pique, Shakira Receives Unprecedented Support From One of Her Biggest Critics

The one-year turbulent saga of the celebrity couple Shakira and Gerard Pique has been filled with many dramatic criticisms and jabs exchanged between the duo. This all began around a year ago when the Colombian superstar and Spanish soccer legend Pique announced their break-up. Since then, the entire split has been subject to intense media scrutiny and speculation.

While much of the attention has been on Pique, Shakira also received her fair share of public critiques from all corners. One of these came from a prominent Peruvian actor, Yaco Eskenazi. However, a recent move from Shakira saw Yaco, one of her biggest critics publicly show his support.

Being a well-known public figure, he criticized her for the diss track she launched toward Pique which Eskenazi clearly had a problem with.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Eskenazi has seemingly done a complete 180 with his views on the superstar singer-songwriter. This came after Shakira recently released an emotional song “Acrostico” dedicated to her children with Pique. Yaco’s reaction to the song was nothing short of joyful and filled with admiration. He not only praised the track, but he also expressed how he was deeply touched by this side of the superstar.

Eskenazi stated his change of view about Shakira and her artistry. He said, “I love this new song that she did with her children, and that’s exactly what I was referring to about the other songs that I really don’t like because that’s Shakira’s style, which I like.”

He also further added how the song made him think of his wife and his children. The rare public support for Shakira by Yaco Eskenazi comes after months of public criticism. There was one instance when Eskenazi even condemned Shakira for crying publicly.

In March, Shakira made a much-anticipated return to the public stage in New York. Her appearance prompted a viral photo of her crying in an M&M store with a fan speaking to her. This even prompted Yaco Eskenazi to share his criticism of her.

Talking about the photo Eskenazi made comments about Shakira. He had said “Women don’t cry anymore, women get paid” in reference to a line from the diss track. Furthermore, he had described Shakira as “terrible toxic” and that he “doesn’t like her version of spite”. These and then the recent comments just show how much Eskenazi has changed his perspective of Shakira.
