Since then, the drama has been full of controversy and criticism. Things got heated up after the diss tracks released by Shakira targeting Pique and his current partner, Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira, in February, released a second diss track with fellow Latin artist Karol G, ‘TQG’. Similar to her previous diss track with Bizarrap, Shakira didn’t hold back to include Pique and Chia Marti. Fans have been pleased with the diss tracks, which have enjoyed tremendous success. It has even made Marti appear in a bad light among fans. However, Marti recently received unprecedented public support from a popular show host.

Clara Chia Marti receives support while Shakira is criticized

Patricia Pardo, a Spanish presenter and journalist, publicly defended Chia Marti on the show, ‘El programa de Ana Rosa’ and called on Shakira to lay off her ex’s current partner. The implication by Shakira of Pique wanting to come back to her in the song is a major source of criticism.

“He is remaining pleased. This time, maybe with Clara Chia it has been cruel no, the next to cruel. Because now it gives you understand that piqué wants to go back with her and that he sends her messages,” Pardo said.

“Do you really think that Shakira has forgotten Pique? If she had forgotten she wouldn’t be doing this. But don’t you think that with four same songs, there’s left over? I doubt so much that Pique wants to go back with Shakira,” she added.

Shakira’s telling of the events surrounding the breakup was being challenged by Pardo, who asked the singer to leave Marti alone. “I understand the game, the business, and the media and we are delighted analyzing it, but I insist: leave Clara aside,” the presenter concluded.

Despite Pardo’s claims, the songs have seen a lot of support from fans and listeners alike. However, Marti also received a big offer to publicly slam Shakira.

Huge offer to the girlfriend of Gerard Pique

A few weeks ago, a Spanish media group offered Clara Chia Marti, $1 million to participate in a tell-all interview about her relationship with Pique. She was also given the liberty to publicly slam Shakira while at it.

Despite the lucrative offer of $1 million, the 24-year-old chose to step away from the spotlight. Both Chia and Pique strongly opposed the idea. They both had the opinion that such an interview won’t do any good and will only bring back more unwanted attention to them.
