Saudi Arabian clubs are on a mission, especially after the country’s $600 billion fund, PIF, took control of four major clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Recently they are targeting soccer stars playing in Europe, including Robert Lewandowski. However, Riyadh-based club Al Hilal failed in its aspirations to bring Lionel Messi, who is joining MLS side Inter Miami.

Another soccer club from Saudi Arabia sent an enormous offer to current Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski. Rumors were getting stronger, but the Polish striker has put a full stop to all those reports.

Lewandowski is with the national team to play an international friendly against Germany this week. Poland will also play Moldova in the Euro 2024 qualifiers next week. With everything going around Saudi Arabian soccer and their efforts to lure soccer stars, the FC Barcelona striker has followed Lionel Messi’s path. He rubbished all the reports, committing his future to the Spanish club.

“There is no topic. So I don’t think about that, because why should I think if there is no topic? Especially since my contract (with Barça) still lasts for a while. I see what is happening (in Arabia) but it does not worry me, because I have other priorities at the moment,” Lewandowski said while speaking to Sport Interia.

He joined Barcelona last summer. The Polish superstar won La Liga and Spanish Super Cup in his first season. To top that, he won the Pichichi (La Liga Golden Boot) award. And despite the interest from Saudi Arabia, he has committed his future to the Catalan club. Lewandowski has three more years remaining in his contract and will be eager to taste more success with the club.

It was evident that Messi could be leaving PSG at the end of the season. Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, lead the race to sign the Argentine with a billion-dollar offer over three years. However, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner had his heart set on a Barcelona reunion. But there were no guarantees over his move back to his boyhood club. It was the moment when David Beckham entered the scene with an incredible offer.
