Future Real Madrid starlet Endrick recently sat down for a tête-à-tête with Marca. Among a variety of questions, the young player was told that ex-Barcelona No. 9 Luis Suárez has yielded to his skills and character, expressing a desire to witness the 17-year-old in action for Barcelona. Interestingly, Endrick replied, “I saw many games with Barcelona. I’m left with a goal against PSG after beating Thiago Silva and David Luiz. I have learned many things from him and he has contributed a lot to Brazilian soccer.”
Endrick hailed Suarez for giving his all to the Brazilian pitch during his time with Gremio. After moving from the Uruguayan side Nacional, El Pistolero notched 26 goals and 17 assists in 53 games. He also liked Suarez’s goal against PSG in the 2015 Champions League quarter-final, where he nutmegged Luiz twice to score a brace. While it’s unlikely Endrick will ever fulfill Suarez’s dream of playing in Barcelona, the former Liverpool man must be pleased after hearing such praise.
