The removal of Twitter-verified accounts has caused unrest on social media platforms. Elon Musk decided to end the verified profiles and kept it all equal. Hence, people have not taken this decision well after the latest rule change.

Therefore, some profile users are deleting their accounts because of the latest decision. That includes Chelsea’s Mason Mount, who idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo. The player left a message on Twitter stating how he is ending the account. 

Many people voiced their concerns, and Mount expressed his emotions on Twitter. Even the soccer player he loves, Ronaldo, lost his verified blue tick mark as Mount took a significant step by ending his Twitter account. 

Mason Mount looks to end his Twitter account

Chelsea’s soccer player explained the reasons for taking this step. Significantly, Mount stated, “Over the years I’ve thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you all on Twitter. Sadly, the platform is changing so I have decided to delete my account. You all can still connect with me on my other social media platforms here: http://masonmount.Komi.io Take care, Mason.”

He looks to get connected with his personalized profile website instead of the famous social media platform. According to Al Jazeera, there is a paid subscription to Twitter Blue accounts, and many athletes lost their verified profiles. He chose not to take the decision instantly. But, after many months of delay in execution, they finally got the decision up and running.

Along with Mason, Cristiano Ronaldo lost his Twitter verification, as well. Mount idolized Ronaldo, and he once explained the reasons for loving the former Manchester United player amidst all the Twitter changes. 

Mount idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo

While many players love Ronaldo, the Chelsea player has often explained how he adored the Portuguese international. Despite being a Portsmouth fan, Mason loved to watch United games because of Ronaldo. He imitated Ronaldo’s free-kick technique and the way he strikes the ball. One of the most famous Ronaldo goals was against Portsmouth, where he scored a sensational free-kick. He commented on how he attended the game and saw the spectacular goal. 

Mount stated, “I was actually at the game, in the corner so I saw it first hand and I think after that I kind of fell in love with the technique and what he’d done and him as a player.” Various players follow the knuckle-ball technique and Mount is one of them who tries to perfect it. But for now, it’s safe to say they are on similar paths as both have lost their Twitter accounts.
