Wrexham has managed to do the impossible and ended the town’s 15-year wait for the promotion. Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds bought the club in 2020 and the fortunes have changed for the Red Dragons since then. While the credit goes out to the amazing star players, the owners are the ones who put their faith in the club 2 years ago. Both Ryan and Rob have been phenomenal in supporting the club off the field. However, it seems that investing and supporting Wrexham has led to a ‘problem’ for Rob McElhenney.

It took some time for Rob to digest the fact that Wrexham has been promoted to EFL League Two. He was away from social media for a day and has now taken to Twitter to share his thoughts on his feelings after making history. Rob recently shared a tweet revealing his problem.
“I have a problem. I am addicted to watching @Wrexham_AFC videos. Please send help,” McElhenney’s tweet read.

For now, the team will pause their celebrations and focus on Torquay United, their last game of the season. Torquay currently sits in the relegation and would be expecting Wrexham to field a weaker XI. However, it will solely be coach Phil Parksinson’s decision to field the lineup and we could see some new faces in the lineup.
