It is often said that opportunities do not present themselves twice, leaving only lingering regret. This appears to be the case for Croatian midfielder Alen Halilovic, who deeply regrets his decision to leave FC Barcelona. Once hailed as the Croatian Lionel Messi, his story now unfolds as one of disappointment, as he currently plays for Fortuna Sittard, the 11th-ranked team in the Eredivisie.

In May 2014, at the young age of 17, Halilovic made a move to FC Barcelona for a fee of $2.4 million, carrying with him immense potential. However, his career did not unfold as anticipated, resulting in profound disappointment and lingering remorse over decisions in the summer of 2016.
