After announcing his departure, Xavi had said, “I don’t rule out a return to Barca.” Having made Al Sadd one of the best teams in Asia, Xavi was seen as the rightful heir to Pep Guardiola as the next homegrown Barca coach. However, the instability at Camp Nou meant he got the job a bit earlier than he perhaps would have wanted. Fast forward two years later and Xavi’s tenure at the Catalan club hasn’t been a roaring success as many had envisioned. As he’s now ‘got his CV‘, questions are being asked about the Spaniard’s desire.
In his short spell, Xavi did manage to win the La Liga. What went wrong for him- were the performances outside La Liga. Will any club place their faith in the Catalan icon?

Guillem Balague does seem to have his doubts regarding Xavi as a coach. Speaking on the CBS show, he said, “In fact, I doubt he actually will get another job now. He may not want to. So he doesn’t have that hunger to challenge the world to convince the world that he’s good.” However, Balague did praise the Spaniard for his achievements in the previous season. The pundit explained, “Now he’s got his CV. Barcelona winning the league and the Super Cup. That means that, uh, in a way, job done.”
The soccer expert did make one crucial point about what went wrong for the legendary midfielder at the club of his dreams. He said, “What he sees is people around him, his brother-assistant, his friends-assistant as well, his wife, a little bit tired like he is.” It seems Balague is to referring to the point that Xavi’s family & friends including his brother Oscar, are a part of his coaching staff and the poor results might have impacted them as well.
While he is doubtful if Xavi will get a new job, as per reports, the Spaniard might already have received an offer. It is an offer that could fulfil one of his managerial dreams!

Folks of the Spanish soccer show El Chiringuito de Jugones believe that Xavi might be headed to Inter Miami next. They explained on the show, “Xavi wants to stop for a year but there have been contacts with Inter Miami. If an interesting offer comes, he will accept it.” A move to Inter Miami would also mean that Xavi can coach Lionel Messi, a desire about which he has been vocal in the past.
The news comes following Inter Miami’s poor pre-season results. The Herons have not tasted a single victory so far and there is big pressure on coach Tata Martino. With Xavi having the experience of managing a big club like Barcelona, the move makes sense for both parties involved.
