“I Do Not Have a Partner” – Shakira Rubbished Big Claims on Dating 24-Year-Old Surf Instructor Months After Messy Breakup With Gerard Pique Back in 2022

It’s been a little over eight months since Shakira and her longtime partner, Gerard Pique, called it quits. The once-power couple ended their relationship back in June of 2022 after the ex-Barcelona star cheated on Shakira with a 23-year-old PR student Clara Chia Marti.

Pique and Clara both started dating following the split. On the other hand, Shakira spends time with family and friends. In December, she was spotted in Cantabria, Spain, spending some enjoyable time and learning how to surf. It was here that she was first seen with 24-year-old surf instructor Gorka Ezkurdia, leading many to speculate that the two were dating.

However, these big claims only infuriated Shakira. She didn’t take a liking to these rumors and angrily slammed the media.

Shakira denounced the big dating claims

The Colombian singer sent a statement to a Spanish Media outlet, Hola to rubbish the claims. “Out of respect for my children and the vulnerable moment they are going through, I ask the media to stop the speculation,” Shakira said. “I do not have a partner or any interest beyond devoting myself entirely to my children.”

It’s clear Shakira didn’t enjoy this false association and all she really wants is the welfare of her children. It’s understandable that Shakira is adamant about protecting her children’s privacy during this difficult time. She and Pique have two sons together, Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10.

Shakira can’t catch a break from dating rumors

This isn’t the first time Shakira has been the subject of dating rumors following her split from Pique. In September, speculations were raised of the Latin singer going back with her ex-boyfriend, Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rúa. Before the 11 years relationship she had with Gerard Pique, the former Grammy winner was dating Antonio.

Subsequent reports confirmed that they had scheduled the meet-up in Miami, presumably with Antonio’s help. The news of the Latin music legend meeting with her ex sparked speculation as to their relationship. At this time, Shakira has not entered into a relationship with anyone else, despite speculation to the contrary.
