Luis Suarez opens on the aftermath of biting Giorgio Chiellini!
Following the 2014 World Cup, Luis Suarez ended his time in Liverpool and transferred to FC Barcelona. However, the player did not have the start he was expecting. During an interview, the player opened up on his treatment at his new club following the WC incident.
Luis Suarez claimed, “It was complicated. The first week, the first month, let’s say it was difficult to assimilate all that because it is a mistake that I made. I asked for forgiveness, and I regret it from the first moment.”
He then added, “It is a thorn that I have, but well, you also learn from mistakes and arriving at a club where you couldn’t make an official presentation, and they did not allow you to train. All that, it was something strange for me.”
FIFA was not too amused with what went down during the fixture. They had already accused El Pistolero of biting his opponents twice before the incident with Giorgio Chiellini. The third incident was what broke the camel’s back as FIFA came down hard on Luis Suarez, imposing a stern ban on the player.
