During a recent interview on ‘The Diary Of A CEO’ YouTube channel, the Arsenal legend opened up about the challenges he faced during his move and the difficulties he encountered. He mentioned, “Again, you know you mentioned to arrive at Barcelona I arrived injured. I was divorcing, adapting to a new life, new language, new team, new way of playing.” Thierry Henry further acknowledged, “People don’t care. I don’t ask people to care, by the way, because that’s how it is. But it’s not easy.” He emphasized that it wasn’t an easy journey and one particularly challenging aspect was not being able to see his daughter.
In his words, “It was tough. It was tough. I couldn’t see my daughter for a while. You know, and people expect you to perform.” Despite these personal challenges, the former World Cup winner’s performance on the field was nothing short of exceptional. Throughout his three years with the team, he netted an impressive 49 goals and even secured his first Champions League victory and the coveted treble in 2009. While not being able to see his daughter made the Barcelona move tough for Thierry Henry, a similar reason also prompted him to depart from his role as CF Montreal’s manager.

In 2019, Thierry Henry took on the managerial position at MLS team Montreal CF. However, in 2021, he made the difficult decision to step down from his role. During the same interview, The 46-year-old openly discussed the reason behind his resignation. He recounted a heartfelt moment when he was preparing to leave his children and travel to Montreal.
