When it comes to American soccer fans, Folarin Balogun is one of the most followed names. The American fans are persuading the Arsenal loanee, who is currently playing for Ligue1 side Reims to play for USMNT. Balogun is in excellent form this season and is two goals behind Kylian Mbappe and Canadian Jonathan David in the race for Ligue1 Golden Boot.

Recently, the forward, while speaking to Sky Sports, revealed his favorite sport that he plays apart from soccer. Balogun, who is eligible to play for USMNT and Nigeria, is representing the England U-21 side and has recently pulled out of England U-21 squad, raising the eyebrows of American fans.

Folarin Balogun plays Olympic-level ping-pong

Balogun recently sat down with Sky Sports and spoke on various aspects, ranging from his international soccer to his favorite sports other than soccer. While speaking, the player shared his love for ping-pong and his expertise level in it.

“I’m very very good at ping pong. I mean, we have one here, and honestly, I think I could play at Olympic level ping pong that good. I’m honestly that good. I made a lot of money, a few bets, but, yeah I’m really really good,” Balogun said. 

He plays ping-pong with his Reims teammates and beats them all. Balogun has 17 goals so far in Ligue1 this season, and the Three Lions recently called him up for the U-21 side in the upcoming international break. However, he opted out of the squad, and reports suggest he will be in Orlando for the game between USMNT and El Salvador.

It will be interesting to see what Balogun decides about his future. He wants to play for the top team, and playing in the World Cup is his dream. But only the future will tell whether he plays in the World Cup with England or USMNT.
