Kylian Mbappe has a lot on his shoulders this season. The Frenchman will hope to do the unthinkable and lift the Champions League title with PSG this season. However, things are not as easy as it seems as the French side has gone through a complete overhaul in the past few months. A former Chelsea icon was present at ESPN’s Champions League recap show where he touched down on PSG’s performance following their win over AC Milan. However, when he was asked if PSG had what it takes to win the UCL, the former player wasted no time in ruling them out of the title race.
PSG did a great job bouncing back from their defeat against Newcastle as the side bashed AC Milan 3-0 in their last outing. Kylian Mbappe was at the top of his game as he scored in PSG’s win, helping the side move to the top of their group’s table. The side has earned 6 points from three games, and four more points could see them qualify for the knockouts.

Former Chelsea star Craig Burley was present on ESPN’s recap show following the game between PSG and AC Milan. Burley, talking about the French side, praised them for their dominant performance against Milan. However, when he was asked if he thinks the Parisians have what it takes to win the Champions League, the former Scotland star quickly refused to believe they had a chance.
“There’s a lot to look forward to for PSG, but it was just about getting the big result tonight. Do I think they will be close to winning this competition? No, I don’t, I absolutely don’t, but they’ll get to the knockout stages and then take their chances.”
PSG has failed to lift the coveted title even once in the tournament’s history. Fans hoped that the side might lift the title with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe at the club. However, the trio failed to deliver up to the hype during their time at the club. This could be Mbappe’s last chance of winning the title with PSG, as his contract with the club ends next summer.
Kylian Mbappe put up a clinical performance in his last outing for PSG as he found the opening goal on the side. With the Frenchman leading the charge, the side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over AC Milan.
