They have announced that the Portuguese coach has left the club with immediate effect. However, the Italian side will certainly have to pay huge compensation. According to reports, he has a penalty clause in his AS Roma contract as he had at Tottenham, Manchester United, and all the previous clubs he has managed. The penalty clause for the Italian giants is reportedly in the region of 18 million pounds.
It is not the first time Jose Mourinho is earning such a huge amount after his sacking. In 24 years of his managerial career, several clubs have paid mega compensations to get rid of his services. In his two spells with Chelsea, he was paid a combined 30 million. The high payments continued at Spurs and Manchester United. Tottenham paid 18 million.
