Spain will head into the Euros with a lot of momentum. The team is packed with stars who are high on confidence. With Real Madrid clinching the Champions League this season, multiple Los Blancos stars have made it to the national team. Joselu and Dani Carvajal played a key role in Madrid’s triumph and would love another trophy in their cabinet. Joselu and Carvajal have a surprising bond connecting the two.
It’s not common for two players with no relation to each other to marry in the same household. Joselu married his wife Melanie Canizares in 2016 with the pair having two kids. However, the player was left surprised when he learned that his wife’s twin sister Daphne Canizares was marrying his teammate Dani Carvajal in 2022. The couples since then have been spotted together on multiple occasions, usually hitting a restaurant after a big win.

“To be here with him is to be with family. Especially because of the relationship we have and we are enjoying it a lot because it is something that will hardly be repeated.” Carvajal added.
It will be interesting to see if the pair take the field together at any stage in Euro 2024. While Alvaro Morata is likely to find a place in the starting XI as Spain’s designated number nine, Joselu could be brought in to make an impact as a substitute throughout the tournament.
