Moments after the USWNT defeated Vietnam 3-0 in their World Cup opener, Tobin Heath & Christen Press sat down for a match breakdown with the legendary Laura Harvey. Megan Rapinoe came on as a substitute in the match; but managed to impress the former Arsenal boss.

Discussing Rapinoe’s skillsets, Laura was simply in awe. The current OL Reigns admitted that Megan is the most talented player she has ever trained. She shared how she used to feel stumped after Megan performed some outrageous skills on the field.

“She just has the ability to do the craziest things in the craziest moments in a way that only she can,” said Harvey. “I think she’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever coached. Some of the things she does on the field, I go how and why did you ever think about doing that?”

The USWNT opened their World Cup points tally in style as they put three past Vietnam. Sophia Smith was the star of the match as she scored two goals to deflate the air out of the Vietnamese. Post-match, the striker shared how it has been an exciting journey for her so far.

“It’s so exciting. Every minute of that game was fun, and the crowd was amazing, and I think it was a good place to start in this tournament, but I know we have so much more to get to,Smith told reporters postgame.
