They have taken the club to a whole new level and brought it monumental fame and glory. In fact, the duo has built a unified bond with both the club and the whole Wrexham community. If there was an award for best owners, then both would have definitely won it. But it seems the stars are actually set to receive an important award.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney set to receive major award
On Monday, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will come to the Wrexham City Center to formally receive the highest civic award from the people of the county borough. The duo will receive the Freemen of Wrexham, which is considered a great award.
They will receive the award from Mayor, Cllr Brian Cameron, who is the civic figurehead and ‘first citizen’ of Wrexham who will be making the formal presentation. The event is set to be conducted behind closed doors at the Wrexham Guildhall, before lunchtime and also before attending the emphatic clash in Wrexham.

Ryan and Rob will be receiving “a casket containing the address to honorary freeman” that actually costs ‘a reasonable sum’. This isn’t the first time for Reynolds at Wrexham’s Guildhall chamber as the latter has previously attended a full Council meeting virtually late last year. The Deadpool star participated in the formal vote that was taken to present the co-Chairman, and football club, with the honor.
Indeed, it is a historic moment for Reynolds and McElhenney who are set to receive such honor. Moreover, they’ll be looking to get some good news on their domestic front, as Wrexham is set to battle Notts County for the exciting match.

While the owners will receive the prestigious award, their club is currently preparing for an exciting match. The Red Dragons will battle against their archrivals, Notts County, to achieve automatic promotion.
