As both the clubs prepare to compete in friendly matches, Bury boss Welsh explained why he thought Bradford City was a better opposition. According to Telegraph and Argus, Welsh explained“Phil Parkinson was trying to get Wrexham over but I thought, ‘no, we want Bradford City’. They have supported it so well.”

Thus Welsh’s dreams of getting his side to play one of his favorable clubs worked out. As for Reynolds, he has other business to attend to. If Wrexham played Bury in the friendly, it would probably take place on July 8th, a day before his expected appearance at the British GP held on July 9th.
