Bayern Munich pulled off one of the biggest surprises in the ongoing transfer window. The perennial Bundesliga champions managed to rope in Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane for a whopping $120 million. Kane’s transfer comes off as a big surprise. Fans had expected the striker to remain at the club as he was just 47 goals behind Alan Shearer to become the Premier League’s all-time top scorer.

While Bayern Munich has pulled off an absolute blinder, this is a massive loss for Tottenham. Harry Kane has been their top player for over a decade now with the striker scoring 213 goals for the side in the Premier League. While club supporters are disappointed with the transfer, it makes sense as the club has failed to lift any silverware since 2008. Ex-Tottenham star Gary Lineker took a dig at Spurs’ misery, following Kane’s transfer with a mocking tweet.
