Wrexham AFC has crossed the pond for an American adventure. They will be busy playing four friendlies before returning to Wales to embark on the EFL League Two chapter. Amid busy preseason and upcoming demanding season, even Phil Parkinson wants to have a taste of good life.

And that’s what he has revealed recently on the podcast ahead of the Chelsea demolition. Who could resist visiting your favorite American city when you are so close to it? And thankfully for Parkinson, the club is traveling to his dream city next.

The first preseason friendly of the much-anticipated US trip is done and dusted. The Reds played Chelsea at the Kenan Memorial Stadium, Chapell Hill, North Carolina. Meanwhile, the game was beyond the expectations of the Red Dragons as Chelsea thumped them 5-0. It was a lesson learned for Parkinson and his boys.

The club will take the experience from the game to improve and will focus on the next match against the LA Galaxy reserve side. Wrexham will visit LA to play the next friendly, the favorite city of Parkinson in the US. And that was revealed by the promotion-specialist boss over Men In The Blazers podcast.

When asked about the favorite city he would like to visit, Parkinson said“When we get to LA. Obviously, I mean the Hollywood kind of glitz and glamour just want to be around there.” He also updated the host about his family joining him in the LA adventure. “Myself and Steve, assistant manager, our families are coming as well to, not on the flight, they’re going to join us in LA,” he added.

“So, I am really looking forward to that, and it’s a great opportunity for our families to come away with the team and share the experience,” Parkinson said. Finally, the Reds boss will have time to spare for himself after snubbing the Las Vegas party thrown by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney after getting League Two promotion.

Can the Red Dragons bounce back?

The US tour started on a disappointing note for Wrexham. Chelsea outplayed them in the game where Wrexham had only a shot on target. They will look to bounce back from the defeat when they next play LA Galaxy II. The game will take place in LA.

The Reds will bank on superstar Paul Mullin to get on the scoresheet early. Parkinson would expect more from the players, and the club can bounce back from the poor Chelsea result. With the Red Dragons traveling to LA, we can say that after bringing Hollywood to Wrexham, Reynolds, and McElhenney are taking Wrexham to Hollywood.
