Tonight, Al Nassr will kick off their Group E match against Persepolis at Azadi Stadium. However, just hours before the game, some shocking details regarding tonight’s battlefield have emerged. A video has resurfaced showing that Azadi’s soccer pitch is not in good condition for play.

In fact, the company responsible for fixing the unfit pitch claimed that they had successfully repaired it. However, despite the declarations from the officials, visual evidence clearly shows that the stadium’s turf remains in suboptimal condition for the upcoming match. This is indeed a significant concern for both teams, as the pitch may lead to significant injuries. However, Cristiano Ronaldo might anyway miss the game due to another reason!

Moreover, it also raises concerns for Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who is already fatigued before the match. Earlier, Saudi journalist Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi revealed that the skipper may miss the match due to tiredness. But if Luis Castro urges CR7 to play, he could risk injury if the pitch conditions are unsuitable. On the other hand, their stay in the fellow Middle Eastern country hasn’t been smooth sailing. Aside from on-pitch concerns, they have also faced some off-pitch predicaments, such as not having access to the internet. Find out more below.

No internet for Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates

As Cristiano Ronaldo and the entire Al-Nassr squad readied themselves for their inaugural match, an unforeseen hurdle crossed their path. Iran’s Minister of Tourism, Ezzatollah Zarghami, made an unexpected announcement, revealing that Ronaldo would not have access to unlimited internet during his stay. While there is no reason behind this restriction, it is a complex situation for the star striker.

Previously, the president of Persepolis had made efforts to secure ‘customized SIM cards’ from Iran’s largest telecommunications company for Al Nassr players that would have granted them internet privileges. However, in light of the Iranian minister’s statement, Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates might have to stay in the country without enjoying the internet.
