Lionel Messi is already on his way to Paris for the Ballon d’Or ceremony. He is currently leading the race to win the prestigious for the 8th time in his playing career. However, amid all this glory, hours before the ceremony, a divine experience has left the family of the Inter Miami star in awe.

The family of Lionel Messi very much believes in the existence of supernatural things. Besides, while Messi is set to receive a massive honor, these experiences certainly create intrigue.

Lionel Messi has had some brilliant stints with his clubs and country. The Argentinian has also achieved a lot of glorious accolades in his career. However, beyond the pitch, there are limited things known about his family. Now, his nephew Tomas Messi has revealed that Messi’s family was shocked by supernatural experiences several times. He spoke about his experiences on a show called  Entre los Tre‘”.

Tomas Messi said, “I am very much of a believer. In my entire family, we are believers and that has helped us a lot in everything ”. He even went for more and shared an anecdote that instilled him with awe. “It has happened to me at various times, like when I tore my meniscus. We were traveling in Spain with my grandmother (Celia, Leo’s mother) and I went to bathe. Out of nowhere, I open my eyes after putting on shampoo and I see the face of God with the crown of thorns.”

He further added before the respectful silence of his friends in the studio. “Did you see that when there is steam everything fogs up? Well, at that moment everything was fogged up except that part, which was practically the face (of Jesus). I’m a big believer in those things.”

Amid all the experiences with his family, the focus of Lionel Messi will be on winning his record 8th Ballon d’Or. The Inter Miami star will soon become the best soccer player in the world.

Lionel Messi fully focused on the Ballon d’Or ceremony

The Inter Miami star is set to win this year’s Ballon d’Or over Manchester City star Erling Haaland. Many felt Haaland should have won the award because of him scoring plenty of goals in City’s treble win last season. But it looks like the treble could not beat the brilliant performance of Lionel Messi in the World Cup in Qatar. At the moment, Lionel Messi has 7 Ballon d’Or and his arch-rival has 5 Ballon d’Or in his playing career.

However, if Messi wins in Paris, he could win his record 8th Ballon d’Or. This could make him the best soccer player in the world without a doubt. However, Cristiano Ronaldo has already started his effort to win it next year. The Portuguese striker is scoring goals for fun for Al Nassr and the Portugal national team this season.
