Besides soccer, we’ve also seen Morgan stand up for many causes. The star forward was an active figure during the USWNT’s fight for equal pay, and they all achieved a significant victory.
Alongside Morgan, Megan Rapinoe also actively stood for women’s equality, and both have truly become notable figures not just for the whole country, but for the world of sports. However, this isn’t the only cause Morgan is working for. With the NWSL set to begin, the 33-year-old gave the latest glimpse of her other work.
Alex Morgan posts about her “best day”
It has been just a few days since Alex Morgan recently launched a foundation under her own name. The USWNT superstar opened her foundation in San Diego’s South Bay. The foundation’s main objective is to provide support and empowerment to women. Besides this, she also wants to inspire young girls to give back to the community.
Recently, she posted a glimpse of her new foundation by posting a video on her Instagram story with the caption, “A look into the best day.” In the video, there was also information about the foundation’s aims.

The foundation’s goals include increasing equity for women in sports, supporting three San Diego-based businesses, and launching Alex’s Homebreak, a program that brings local girls’ soccer teams to Wave matches, in the 2022 season.
When launching the foundation, she said, “I’ve actually been looking at starting a foundation probably for the last five-plus years, but it didn’t actually come together until a couple of months ago,” said Morgan. With the help of her organization, she aims to motivate and create unlimited opportunities for young girls and women.
Preparations for the NWSL opener continue
It is yet another proud moment for the whole country, as Morgan has done a brilliant job for the community. And now she’ll be looking to lock her eyes on the 2023 NWSL season. The iconic forward will be looking to lead her side, the San Diego Waves, to glory.

Last year, her team finished third, missing the top spot by just four points. The Waves also had a bit of tough luck in the championship, as they were knocked out in the semi-finals by the Portland Thornes. Morgan was also the top scorer last year and will be looking to fire goals for her side.
