The world of soccer was hit by rather disappointing news, as Real Madrid’s soccer superstar Vinicius Jr had to explain how La Liga “now belongs to racists.” The incident happened during Madrid’s game against Valencia, where they lost 1-0. But what made the news was the terrible racist abuse that Vinicius received from Valencia supporters.
The authorities stopped the match temporarily as the winger explained how a fan in the stands hurled abuse at him. It became a disappointing event. Amidst that, Mateo Ronaldo, son of Cristiano Ronaldo, donned a Real Madrid jersey in support of the team.
It became a marked moment, and his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, shared the wholesome snap. Hence, the sense of solidarity looks fantastic.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son dons Real Madrid jersey amidst controversy
Rodriguez captioned the picture, “Love what you do.” She posted a snap of the bubbling Mateo, posing with a Real Madrid kit. It comes a day after soccer fans spotted him donning a Barcelona jersey. Thus, it became cryptic for Mateo to wear the jersey just days after the Vinicius Jr incident. But the incident in itself is surprising, and the Brazilian winger took to social media to express his emotions.

Vinicius Jr. stated, “It wasn’t the first time, not the second, and not the third. Racism is normal in La Liga. The competition thinks it’s normal, so does the Federation and the opponents encourage it. I am so sorry. The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano, and Messi, today belongs to the racists. A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and I love, but which accepted to export the image to the world from a racist country.”
Soccer fans around the world reacted to the incident and expressed their disappointment in the fans of the Spanish league. This was not the first time fans racially abused the player.

Vini Jr. continued, “Sorry for the Spaniards who do not agree, but today, in Brazil, Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately, with everything that happens on a weekly basis, I have no way to defend myself. I agree. But I’m strong and will go to the end against the racists. Even though it’s far from here.”
