In a recent interview, Deschamps threw some light on the situation. According to the French Football Weekly, Deschamps said, “The situation was complicated, it normalized. So much the better. Everyone wins. I chatted with him. It’s very good for the France team of course, but also for the club and for him.”

For starters, Mbappe always supported Real Madrid at a young age and wanted to move. With his contract expiring soon at PSG, he wasn’t showing interest in an extension for a while. Meanwhile, the club looked keen to sell him for a huge amount. But nothing fruitful has happened so far in it.

If the player stays and the club fails to negotiate a new deal, it would mean that PSG would lose their most-prized possession for free next summer. Obviously, no soccer club in the world would like it! He would certainly fetch at least $150 million if they put him out for sale. But, putting aside the rumors, Ancelotti decided to call it quits with the Mbappe transfer this year.

In a recent interview, he explained the situation of Real Madrid, stating the complications related to the deal. Ancelotti mentioned, “We will not sign any other player, it’s 100% over. Our squad has been closed and so it’s finished,” when asked about signing any more players.

Thus, it would be crucial for the player to negotiate a deal with his monstrous wages at PSG. No team with a proper wage structure could negotiate a deal and offer the contract he desires. Yet, all is not lost.
