Gerard Pique has recently been the talk of the town after his recent comments against Shakira. While the Colombian singer was leaving Spain, Pique finally spoke his heart out after months. In a recent interview, the soccer veteran spoke about everything from business to his personal life. He also said a few controversial statements about Shakira and her fans.

In just a few hours, the Colombian singer has publicly responded to one of those comments. While the fans have always stayed loyal to Shakira, even the singer doesn’t shy away from standing up for them at the right time.

As Shakira was boarding her private jet, the soccer veteran was criticizing her and her fans during an informal conversation with Gerard Romero. After a superhit Kings League inaugural season, Pique was on Romero’s YouTube channel having a chat about different topics in general.

During the conversation, Pique made a few eye-opening comments. These were some of his lines. “My ex-partner is Latin American. You don’t know what I’ve received from her fans on social media. Thousands of barbarities”, as transcribed and translated by 5NBC DFW. The Latin American singer would have got quite furious after reading these comments against her fans.

She took to Twitter, and said, “Orgullosa de ser Latinoamericana”. These words translate to, “Proud to be Latin American”. She also added the flags of almost every country situated in Latin America. Her fans went quite crazy on social media after reading her tweet. Once again, Shakira has stolen the limelight from Pique.

Shakira finally pulled the plug on her life in Spain. The singer felt the need to move away from all the drama and chaos. But she caught everyone’s attention after she boarded her private luxury jet that is worth $20 million. Milan and Sasha will have their first school day on April 11. The Waka–Waka singer has decided to give her kids the best education at Miami Country Day, one of America’s top schools.

The kid’s tuition fees will equally be shared between the former celebrity couple, as per their separation agreement. It will cost them about $33,000 to $46,000 per year. The jury is still out there on how often Pique will travel to the US to meet his kids. However, he doesn’t have to pay for trips all by himself. Shakira has to forcefully split the expenses in half when it comes to anything related to her children.
