The team will face Slovakia and Luxembourg in their upcoming matches. Meanwhile, an award is on the horizon for Cristiano Ronaldo yet again for his incredible performances in August.

The former Manchester United man has now been nominated for the AFC’s West Asian Region Award for the month of August. The 5x Champions League winner has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in the Saudi Pro League in August.

Other nominated players for the award are Al Ahli’s Roberto Firmino with 3 goals and 1 assist in 3 games, Al Ittihad’s Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah with 4 goals in 3 games, Bani Yas’s Youssef Nyakati, Al Gharrafa’s Yassine Brahimi, Jordanian Al-Wahdat’s Anas Al-Awadat, and Thaqafi Tulkarem’s Hamza Issa.

The competition is tough but Cristiano Ronaldo’s cup-winning performance can take the edge and land him an award. In a recent interview, the Portuguese star also revealed the league that he considers to be the most difficult, with Jose Mourinho agreeing with his fellow Portuguese.

In a talk show, Cristiano Ronaldo was recently asked “Is the Premier League the hardest league in the world?”.
