The Kylian Mbappe saga continues to drag on. While Paris Saint Germain is trying their best to keep a hold of their talisman, it seems like Mbappe has already made up his mind about leaving the club. There has been plenty of speculation around Mbappe’s future with La Liga giants, Real Madrid, being the most likely destination.
In his recent press conference, however, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti made it clear that the team was not going to make any additional signings in the ongoing transfer window, having signed Jude Bellingham from Dortmund for a big-money move.
With Los Blancos potentially out of the race this season, PSG is trying their best to get Mbappe to sign a new contract that prevents him from leaving for free next summer.

PSG slap a massive $270 million price tag on Kylian Mbappe
While it has been pretty evident that PSG do not want to part ways with Kylian Mbappe, their recent demands might have thrown their plans in jeopardy. The French side has put up a massive $270 million price tag on Kylian Mbappe hoping to offload him for a big money deal.
If no team decides to take PSG on their offer, the player’s contract expires in 2024 and he will be looking to leave for free next summer, to his choice of club. PSG are in hopes of getting something out of their investment and have tried to get Kylian Mbappe to renew his contract with the side but have been unsuccessful so far.
The World Cup winner has refused to sign a contract extension that sees him remain at the French capital past this season. With Mbappe rigid with his demands and PSG unwilling to let the player go on a free, things are bound to get more messy in the coming days.
Real Madrid unwilling to meet PSG’s asking price for Mbappe
Real Madrid has made it clear that they will not meet PSG’s astronomical demands for Kylian Mbappe. According to various reports across Spain, the club has conveyed their message to the player and has said that if he doesn’t get things sorted; they are willing to walk away from the deal altogether.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds, with none of the three involved parties backing down an inch. While there is no doubt about Kylian Mbappe’s talent, spending $270 million on a player whose contract ends next summer would be dubious for any club.
