Born on January 21, 2005; Darren Watkins Jr aka iShowSpeed is arguably amongst the biggest soccer content creators on the internet today. The social media influencer shot to fame by fanboying Cristiano Ronaldo on his live streams. Over the last few months, the YouTuber has been making it a point to attend Cr7’s matches to have a chat with him. His wish finally came to fruition last month.

Last week, the YouTuber, as usual, traveled long miles to catch yet another Cr7 match. A few days after watching the superstar play for Al Nassr, the social media icon was immediately rushed to the emergency ward for surgery. The YouTuber shared this news last night on Twitter, asking for prayers from his fans. Cristiano’s teammate saw this message and lent his support to the social media star.

Rafael Leao sends his words of strength to Speed

Last night, iShowSpeed shared a devastating health update on his Twitter. The live streamer shared a photograph of his swollen eyes on Twitter and heartbreakingly captioned it–“please pray for me i beg of y’all i need it”.

As expected, fans and well-wishers of the popular social media icon flooded the comments section with notes of positivity and strength. AC Milan and Portugal star Rafael Leao was also one among them.

The Rossoneri winger took to Twitter and asked the YouTuber to be resilient. “Stay strong my boy,” tweeted Leao. For those who don’t know, Rafael and Speed are very good friends. In fact, the Portuguese winger has appeared on his live streams multiple times. The AC Milan player was also the architect behind introducing the YouTuber to his idol, Cr7.

What happened to iShowSpeed?

On the 30th of July, iShowSpeed was rushed into the emergency ward for surgery. In a video shared by the YouTuber, the icon revealed that his eyes have swollen under mysterious circumstances and it’s paining him a lot. “I don’t know what I have. I have been feeling s***, pretty bad,” said Speed.

The YouTuber then went on to express his feelings of pain vividly. “My eyes are puffing up, it feels like somebody is stabbing my eye with a knife and I have a headache,” said Speed in his miserable state.
