A major music streaming service recently released a marketing campaign to honor the Grammy Award winner. The brand has started the conversation of having a ‘Shakira Day’ and about 52 million people could be the beneficiaries of the same.

On the other hand, Gerard Pique and his girlfriend have sneaked away for a mini-vacation. After being in the limelight for months, looks like they’ve finally managed to get away from the majority of the cameras.

Spotify suggests a ‘Shakira Day’ to celebrate her success

In recent times, Shakira has been on every news headline but not for a controversy. This time, Spotify has released a unique marketing campaign keeping the Latin American artist at the forefront. The music streaming company made a suggestion to the fanbase which instantly went viral. They’ve started chatter about a possible holiday to celebrate and honor the music artist’s work.

Interestingly, there are no public holidays in September in Colombia making this proposal even more attractive. The hashtag of the campaign is #Shakiramereceundia. Spotify is basically asking the fanbase to put their suggestions forward. Whether it’s an argument, anecdote, or a song lyric, the music streaming brand has asked the diehard fanbase to state their reasons for why there needs to be a ‘Shakira Day’.

Spotify didn’t limit this marketing campaign only to its social media channels. They printed several social media posters and banners with photos of the singer with the hashtag. The brand strategically placed these posters on the buildings in the capital of the country. A total of 52 million people could benefit from an extra holiday if this proposal actually gets the attention of the government authorities.

Shakira had suggested a few modifications in the separation agreement which the soccer veteran straightaway accepted. Mainly because it was for the well-being of Milan and Sasha. However, Clara Chia Marti has not been happy with his decisions and constant association with his ex-partner, simply because the PR student reportedly doesn’t have a say in any of the decision-making.
