It’s no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo has a lot of clout on social media. The soccer icon is the most followed person on Instagram with just over 600 million followers. Likewise, his former rival Neymar also has a formidable fan following standing at 212 million followers currently.
Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi comes in at 482 million followers, and it’s safe to say that the trio is “influential” on the field and away from it, further exemplifying that soccer is the world’s most popular sport.
These formidable social media numbers on Instagram are also a gold mine for the world’s biggest soccer stars because the brands they represent pay them for promotion on the social network, and the Saudi Pro League is no different.
According to Deadline Day Live via Foot Mercato, Neymar’s new contract has a clause that stipulates that he would stand to earn $546,000 per social media post that promotes the SPL.
🚨🤑 Some of the perks Neymar will experience because of his move to Saudi Arabia:

On the other hand, Ronaldo earns a staggering $3.2 million per post from various brands and sponsorships.
Neymar’s other perks in the Al Hilal contract
The mercurial Portuguese icon has set the barometer high in terms of wages and bonuses for the flurry of new stars who would follow him to pastures anew in Saudi Arabia, after his move to Al Nassr earlier this year. And while Ronaldo is clearly the highest earner in the SPL, Neymar’s new bumper contract is pretty staggering as well. He has several perks that are equally impressive.

The Brazilian ace has only signed a two-year deal with the Saudi Pro League club and has suggested that he could move to his old club Barcelona in 2025 after his contract with Al Hilal runs out.
