It was just recently that one of Al Nassr’s rivals, Al Ettifaq, lured in a PL manager, Steven Gerrard to become their new boss. Subsequently, we may see another English League manager catch a flight to the Middle East. Well, this comes from the mouth of Sports Broadcaster, Ben Jacobs, who has ignited speculations surrounding Fulham manager, Marco Silva.
Jacobs tweeted, “Marco Silva has a £6m release clause & is in talks with Al-Ahli to become their new coach, as @SkyKaveh reports. Al-Ahli want a quick answer. Silva offered a two-year deal worth around £40m. He’s always been Al-Ahli’s top target as manager despite talks with Luciano Spalletti.”
Although, as per Jacobs, Al Ahli already had talks with Napoli manager Spalletti, Silva has been in their eyes for quite a while. Also, the Fulham manager has a release clause of just $7 million, which they are ready to pay. Moreover, Silva is also being offered a lucrative deal worth $51 million for over 2 years.
Indeed, the deal’s pretty solid, but it remains to be seen how they manage to get a breakthrough in his signing. Al Ahli is already at a crossroads after showing a potential interest in one of their players, Alexander Mitrovic. In fact, the club’s billionaire owner had some blasting words for the latest transfer mayhem caused by Saudi clubs.

Tony said, “It’s amazing and I think if you have enough money you can get away with anything, including m*rder, and try to sign up all the top players in the world.” Apparently, Tony took an indirect hit on Ahli’s attempts to lure their star player, Mitrovic. Furthermore, the Serbian striker is also burning bridges with the club. This is because the Cottagers are valuing him highly to fend off the interest of his buyers.
