Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently turned 41 and is currently recovering from a serious knee injury. Ibrahimovic has a decorated career of 22 years for Sweden and 26 years for club soccer. He has played for renowned clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, PSG, and AC Milan. The big Swede is out of play due to injury and will only be able to join next year. Any official statement about his injury is yet to be made. He appeared in an interview with CNN last month in which he talked about various topics.

Zlatan Ibrahimović turned 41 in October and talked about his future in soccer. It appears that retirement is the last thing he wants to think about. Sweden failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, and now Zlatan is looking to recover and have a strong comeback.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic about the importance of money

While talking about big financial investments AC Milan, Manchester City, and PSG are getting, he explained how Italian teams are now getting opportunities to compete with Champions League teams. 

While talking about the importance of financial management, he said, “Money brings possibilities. Money brings alternatives that maybe other things cannot bring. The high-paying Premier League is much bigger than..That’s why the economy is much bigger there. So they have the possibilities to bring the big talents, the best players, and Italy is maybe not on the same level. It makes it exciting also because it becomes a tragedy for the Italian clubs to beat the other clubs. I mean, new money is good.”

He continued: “It becomes a domino effect because they — let’s say the lower teams had possibilities to make big moves, and unfortunately in Italy, it’s not in the same conditions but still we are pro players and the Ball is still around. One thing and we are doing the same thing.

AC Milan won Serie A 2021-2022, and fans are expecting the same performance from them with Ibrahimovic’s return. 

He is not thinking about stopping

The all-time highest goal scorer for Sweden made it clear that as of now he is not thinking about retiring from the sport. He implied that when he stops contributing to the team, he will stop playing. While writing about his injury, Ibrahimovic informed fans that he had taken 20 injections for around six weeks. He was taking painkillers and having a hard time sleeping. Fans are waiting for his comeback and so are experts, let’s see how it will go once WC concluded.
