Beckham is one of the enormous names in the soccer world. The name once ruled English soccer, is a name with a massive brand value. Now, his son Romeo has taken the first step towards continuing the legacy of Beckham.

Romeo started with the Arsenal Academy in 2014-15. But he decided not to pursue soccer. Instead, Romeo opted for tennis and started training with Andy Murray. However, after a few years, he again decided to follow soccer and joined Inter Miami II, the reserve side of Inter Miami franchise co-owned by his dad.

The English side Brentford B (the reserve team of Brentford FC) signed David Beckham’s son. It raised the eyebrows of many. They labeled the move a PR stunt. But was it really a PR stunt?

Romeo joined the reserve Inter Miami side in 2019 after around four years of absence from soccer. As the 2022 season ended, to keep up with the fitness and training, Inter Miami loaned Romeo to Brentford B. It was a six-month loan deal until the end of the season. And Romeo won his first career trophy when Brentford B won the Premier League Cup.

Recently, Neil MacFarlane discussed Romeo Beckham in an interview with DailyMail“Had he come in and been like, ‘I’m a Beckham,’ that would have been a disaster for us,” MacFarlane said. “But he is not like that at all. He’s like his dad in that he is a humble guy with a good work ethic and wants to do extra hours on the training round,” MacFarlane adds.
