Adam Smith said, “I’ve seen even Bayern Munich fans and vloggers say that they think he’s even on a level higher than what Lewandowski was in the first season. 

Both of them also made the point that he is linking very well with his fellow teammates. The 30-year-old, in his first season, has scored 22 goals and provided 7 assists in 18 games. The statistics at the moment prove that they have finally gotten their Robert Lewandowski replacement for the next few years.

In an interview with Four Four Two, he said, “Robert is a legend at Bayern and one of the best strikers of our generation. He set the bar so high. It’s too early in the season for me to be talking about specific numbers. That’s not where my focus is”.

The 30-year-old will also have to make sure that he can complement the goals with trophies this season. It is because Bayern Munich is aiming for Champions League glory under Thomas Tuchel. Whereas, they are in a toe-to-toe battle with Xabi Alonso-led Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga battle.
