Although, it hasn’t been all sunshine for Haaland, who’s seen a drop in performance compared to his magical debut season. Critics have expressed their concern with the two City forwards, Haaland and Alvarez, expressing that they don’t fit together in the same team. Julian Alvarez has come off a spectacular season, clinching the World Cup for Argentina and achieving a treble with Manchester City. Recently, he’s stepped up admirably in place of the injured Kevin De Bruyne. Despite some initial doubts about their partnership, Alvarez made it clear that there were no issues between him and Erling Haaland. Responding to critics, he stated, “There has been a lot of speculation about if we can play together or not. We have shown this season that we can do it.”
