FIFA president Gianni Infantino Just had a press conference in which he gave an excellent 1-hour monologue, stating that nobody should question the morals of anyone in this. He also said that he feels for the FIFA WC organizing committee and the members of the Qatar Supreme Committee.

This statement came after the critics went to the neck of FIFA for many concerns regarding organizing World Cup in Qatar. The major one was the death toll of migrant workers in Qatar. It is speculated that thousands of workers died while working on the infrastructure expansion. People are also questioning the moral standards of FIFA over this.

Infantino said, “Today, I have strong feelings. Today I feel Qatari. I feel Arab; I feel African; I feel gay, I feel disabled, I feel a migrant worker. Of course, I am not Qatari; I am not an Arab, I am not African, I am not gay, I am not disabled. But I feel like it because I know what it means to be discriminated against, to be bullied, as a foreigner in a foreign country.”

It was supposed to be a 40-minute Q&A session, but it was an hour-long monologue. I also addressed how many Eastern and Western Companies earn billions from Qatar. According to him, people never addressed these issues before, and it is kind of hypocritical to do it now.

Besides that confusing statement, Gianni Infantino also said, “For what we Europeans have been doing around the world in the last 3,000 years, we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons to people.”
