After being sidelined due to injury for a very long time, Neymar finally returned to action. Consequently, the skilled playmaker even made his debut for Al Hilal in the process. However, the aftermath of playing for his new team has posed some challenges for him. Apparently, the 31-year-old is still not ready to play matches.

This comes from the mouth of Al Hilal’s physiotherapist, Thamer Alshahrani, who insists the player might need to go for a comprehensive rehab. “In the coming days, he will need extensive recovery to speed up his return to training directly with the team. We may see him using ice on the areas of the interventions to which he was exposed: Right foot, Left foot, and Left knee,” Alshahrani said.

Indeed, it is a concerning situation for both Neymar and Al Hilal. The player has a history of injuries, and undoubtedly, the Riyadh side will be keen to keep him in the best possible physical condition. Perhaps this explains his goal drought for Al Hilal, as he has yet to find the back of the net.

Neymar is yet to find the back at the net

Last night, yet again, Neymar couldn’t make a significant contribution to the scorecard. The former PSG standout squandered a chance to notch his first goal as he was unable to successfully execute a penalty kick. Despite playing his fourth consecutive match, the Brazil international has yet to find a goal.

Up to this point, he has only managed to record two assists. Undoubtedly, Neymar needs to make a comeback and aim to open his account for the Middle Eastern side. The clock is ticking, and if he fails to score soon, he could potentially encounter difficulties. Let’s hope he manages to bounce back in the upcoming fixtures.
