Scaloni further added, “I don’t talk to Messi about these things, we go as we go along and what happens. The other day he was tired, he asked for a change and well? If he is well he will always play and if he has a problem he will see it. It’s logical to watch the games.”

Scaloni’s statements clarified that the substitution was due to exhaustion, and he indeed affirmed Messi’s fitness to play. The Argentina team is on their way to face Bolivia at one of the most dreaded pitches among soccer players.

Bolivia stadium to take La Albiceleste’s breath away

The Bolivia national team’s home ground Hernando Siles Stadium is at 11,932 feet above sea level. The height of the stadium makes it one of the most difficult pitches to play on. There are constant complaints of players getting out of breath due to the altitude of the stadium. With concerns surrounding Messi’s fitness, it will be a match he hopes gets over soon.
