Just like other news channels, Fox News Channel presenter Brian Kilmeade was also hosting his daily show live. During the show, he made an embarrassing claim about David Beckham. While Speaking of Messi’s move, he said, “The only thing I worry about, he doesn’t speak English, and I want to see him sit down and talk.” Following this, he was trying to make a joke at the expense of Beckham in which he missed the mark.

The political commentator couldn’t deliver the intent of his joke as he added, “One thing about David Beckham, he learned to speak English for us, with only with an accent when he came at 32 years old.”
Many may broadly term it as a big mistake from Kilmeade, but perhaps others didn’t realize what he said—not even the other presenter who was sitting in front of him as she didn’t seem to react to his joke. Either way, it is definitely a huge blunder on such a big platform and a failed attempt from Kilmeade to make the joke. Be that as it may, it is still a big question as to why Messi chose Miami over Barcelona or Al Hilal.

Decoding the decision of Lionel Messi
As soon as PSG announced Messi’s departure, the whole soccer world knew where Messi would play next season. While half of the soccer fanbase was touting a return to FC Barcelona, others backed him to take up the billion-dollar deal from Al Hilal. However, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner chose neither of them and chose Beck’s side.
He even opened up about his decision. “If it had been a matter of money, I’d have gone to Arabia or elsewhere. It seemed like a lot of money to me. The truth is that my final decision goes elsewhere and not because of money.” While at Barca, he didn’t want to bother the Catalans by making salary reductions and selling players. Hence, that’s why he thought Miami was the perfect place.
