Things have been tumultuous around the Brazilian soccer team. The Selecao seemed in a mix this week as they played a 1-1 draw against the USA in their preparation for the Copa America. The result annoyed the Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho, who went all in on the team.

Ronaldinho claimed the Brazilian team had no passion and said that he didn’t want to see them play in the Copa America after their performance against USMNT. His words didn’t go down well with Raphinha who called out the legend for his hypocrisy.

Raphinha addressed Ronaldinho’s comments during Brazil’s official press conference before the Copa America. “Ronaldinho says that he will not watch the Brazilian national team? A few days ago, he was writing to Vinicius Junior and asking him to provide him with tickets so that he could come and watch the national team’s match,” Raphina said.

Reports claim many players in the Brazilian national team are unhappy with Ronaldinho’s statement. The team feels the game against USMNT was a minor roadblock and every Brazilian player has what it takes to bounce back from the setback.

Ronaldinho blasts Brazil after poor showing against USMNT

The Brazilian legend caught everyone off-guard earlier tonight as he bashed the team’s performance via social media. Ronaldinho took to his Instagram handle to pen a long message criticizing the Selecao. The former Barcelona star feels his national team does not have the drive and hunger to play for their country.

Ronaldinho on his Instagram stated, “It’s difficult to find the energy to watch the games. This is maybe one of the worst teams in recent years, it has no respectable leaders, just average players for the most part. I’ve never seen a situation as bad as this. There’s a lack of love for the shirt, a lack of determination, and most importantly [a lack of] football. The performance has been one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. It’s a shame. That’s why I declare I’m giving up here. I won’t watch any CONMEBOL Copa América games.”

Ronaldinho has every right to comment on Brazil’s performance, but for him to claim that the Brazilian players do not want to fight for the badge is a bit far-fetched. Brazil, for years, has been one of the most passionate teams in the world and the players will be more than eager to prove their former star wrong when they take the field in their first match of Copa America against Costa Rica.
