After months of hard work, Wrexham AFC has gained promotion to the fourth division of English soccer. The Welsh club is certainly indebted to Ben Foster for his incredible performance and his one crucial penalty save in the 96th minute to ensure their victory.

It’s fair to say that nobody was quite expecting the outcome of it. Within the video, one particular clip has really managed to draw attention as Ben Foster impressed with an amazing goal.

Foster unleashed an impressive strike, sending a beautiful overhead kick thrashing back into the net whilst the goalkeeper was rooted to his spot. Ryan Reynolds certainly enjoyed this as he took to Twitter to share the clip. Showing his humorous side, he wrote, “Is it possible to have two new signings out of one person?”

With this impressive display of skill, Ben Foster has shown that he is not just here for the saves. But also can produce unbelievable moments of goalscoring brilliance. Foster’s overhead goal is even more impressive when considered in the context of a season punctuated by a plethora of memorable saves. One of which came in the 96th minute of a crucial match, which had Ryan Reynolds at the edge of his seat.

Ben Foster’s save that helped Wrexham secure the league title

Ben Foster’s unbelievable save in the dying moments of the match against Notts County made for one of the standout memories of Wrexham’s remarkable 2022-23 season. Locked in an intense battle for the league title, this match was considered to be the best non-league game.

With Wrexham leading 3 -2, Notts County got awarded a penalty in injury time. However, Ben Foster stepped up to make a heroic save that sealed Wrexham’s victory.

Afterward, Foster also detailed the ecstatic reaction from owners Ryan and Rob McElhenney. He recalled that moment for them being “as good as it gets”. Along with that and how McElhenney gave him “big kisses on the lips”. This exciting moment will surely go down in Wrexham’s history for many years to come.
