Wrexham AFC has been making rounds for their scintillating promotion and title race in the Vanarama National League title. But it couldn’t have been a memorable season without their fiercest title rivals. Notts County pushed them all the way through in a roller coaster title race.

Such was the impact of Notts County, even Wrexham owners came out in support of the team for the playoffs. County impressed Ryan Reynolds in such a way that the actor called for at least two automatic promotion spots. However, Notts County managed to win the playoffs and book their League Two ticket for the next season. And now another Wrexham star has come up and hailed the rivals for pushing the Red Dragons throughout the season.

“That just speaks for itself and to finally get it done in a home game after going 1-0 behind was really special. It worked out perfectly and everyone was there to celebrate together, which was brilliant,” the midfielder added. The midfielder wasn’t on the bus for the title parade as his wife gave birth to a child the same day, but was delighted with what the club achieved this season.

The midfielder made 27 appearances for the club despite missing three months due to injury. Everyone from the club stepped up when required to achieve their dream of promotion after 15 years. Now the club will shift the focus on the transfer window and pre-season in the US before playing in League Two.
