USMNT coach praises Greg Berhalter

It has been quite eventful months for the whole country when Gregg Berhalter took over the headlines. The former USMNT coach is currently under ongoing investigations with US authorities after a 30-year-old incident came to light.

Greg reportedly had an altercation outside a local bar with his then-girlfriend, Rosalind. The information was given by Gio Reyna’s parents, who had close ties with the Berhalters. The Reynas gave the information to US authorities after Greg’s unfair treatment of their son, Gio Reyna.

Hence, the 49-year-old is currently getting all the hate from the soccer world. However, in the midst of such deliberation, there’s one man who is supporting Berhalter. Luchi Gonzales has recently become head coach of MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.

While speaking to the press, the 42-year-old had some praise for the ex-USMNT coach, “I had my experience 10 years in Dallas where I saw the game a certain way and I believed in that. But it evolves and then when you get to be next to Greg Berhalter which I think is one of the greatest coaches ever in the United States.”

For now, Anthony Hudson is leading the men’s side as an interim coach, as it’s unlikely that Berhalter will be given a new contract. Only time will tell what the USMNT have in mind for their next gaffer.
