Alex Morgan cheers San Diego Padres

In an attempt to celebrate last week’s victory, Alex Morgan recently went to watch the opening game of Major League Baseball. She was accompanied by her San Diego Waves and USWNT teammate, Abby Dahlkemper.

The duo went to watch the exciting match between the San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies. Morgan shared the glimpses on her Instagram story, where she and Dahlkemper are holding a Padres jersey with both of their names on it. Below that picture, she posted another picture of herself walking off the pitch during her last match.

She even had a heartwarming message for the MLB side, as she wrote the caption, “Goodluck, Padres.” Moreover, in the next story, Morgan also shared a small clip where she shot the whole view of the Petco Park stadium, with the caption “opening day,” as she was thrilled to watch the opening game of the Padres.

Moreover, Padres CEO, Erik Greupner, also had a heartwarming message for both of the visitors as he got a picture with the duo. “Alex Morgan and Abby Dahlkemper throwing nothing but strikes before tonight’s Padres game! Get out and support our San Diego Wave FC!”

Before this, she even shared a post on her story and wrote, “LFGSD!!” thus showing her support for the baseball team. However, it wasn’t the day Morgan was expecting as her favorite side lost 2-7 in the opening game.

Preparations for the next fixture continue

Morgan may return to her home with a sad face, but that wouldn’t stop her from focusing on her next opponents. The skipper will be looking to clinch three points in the next fixture against North Carolina Courage.

The Waves will host the second game of the season and are eyeing back-to-back wins in the league. Both sides are coming off with a decent win. The Courage won the opening fixture of the season with a win against Kansas City. On the other hand, the Waves secured an emphatic win against the Chicago Red Stars.

Both are in the same position in the league, and either of them will be desperate to extend their lead. Indeed, it’s going to be an exciting fixture.
