“God Bless You Little Man” – Soccer World Mourns Tragic Death of Teenage Soccer Star Who Survived Thailand Cave Rescue

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we report the death of 17-year-old Duangpetch Promthep. The teenager was a young soccer prodigy from Thailand and the captain of the Thai soccer team. He was also one among the many students who were rescued in the Tham Luang cave rescue back in 2018 after 12 boys were stuck in the cave.

In 2022, he traveled to the United Kingdom to enroll in a soccer academy and further his soccer career. However, it has been reported that the teenager has passed away. On Sunday, he was found unconscious in his dormitory in Leicestershire, England, and was taken to hospital. He was sadly pronounced dead on Tuesday.

Soccer fans left heartbroken by the tragic news

The exact cause of death is not yet known, but it is believed that he may have suffered a head injury. His death is not being treated as suspicious by Leicestershire Police. Soccer fans around the world are mourning this tragic loss.

One fan wrote, “God bless you little man” while another wrote, “So sad. Rest in Peace young man”. 

This certainly is sad news as we lost such a young talent. This emotion was expressed by a user who wrote, “This is so tragic to a young talented young man. Condolences to all your family and friends”. While another expressed his disbelief saying, “Oh no. May his soul rest in peace”.

Many were just left saddened by the news as comments read, “Tragic news”, “How sad” and “Terrible. RIP”. One fan also added, “Oh My! This is sad.”
