Fans were in disbelief as the club threw away a 2-1 lead in the last minute. The late goal came from the mistake of the Wrexham goalkeeper, disappointing the fans. It hurt more when their title rival Notts County dropped two points as well. The club fans were unhappy with the performance as they missed the chance to increase the lead over Notts County.

Fans disappointed with Wrexham AFC dropping points

Fans showed their disappointment on social media after the game. One of them wrote“God awful, we can’t even control a game against part-time Maidenhead, a team with half the points of us.” The fan wasn’t happy for dropping points against 14 placed Maidenhead United, who have 43 points compared to 85 of Wrexham.

The two points dropped were a major concern for many fans. They thought it would have given an assurance against the second-placed team, who also dropped the points in the night. One fan hopes these two points don’t haunt the club in the title race.

Fans also praised striker Paul Mullin for his goal-scoring exploits but sent a warning, too, that without the striker’s goals, the club would have been faltering.

In the last few games, Wrexham is conceding late goals. They did the same in the previous game, as Chesterfield scored in the sixth minute of the additional time after 90 minutes. They will hope to make amendments in the upcoming games as the title race is heating up with Notts County.
