There are always comparisons going on social media between soccer stars. One such tweet by a Twitter user urged the fans to pick a player that would take the penalty kick. Women soccer stars Ada Hegerberg, Alex Morgan, and Alexia Putellas were named in the post, and asked fans to pick one while Megan Rapinoe was excluded.

However, the majority of the fans picked different soccer star to take the penalty kick in the critical situation. USWNT star Megan Rapinoe, according to the fans, is the ideal candidate for a spot-kick. The 2019 Ballon d’Or winner has an outstanding record with penalties and has missed only once.
Fans think Megan Rapinoe is the ideal penalty taker
Twitter handle asked users to name the penalty taker from Hegerberg, Morgan, and Putellas, quoting one penalty kick to save your life, all in their prime; who have you got? One user pointed out Rapinoe is the one saying, “Lol the goat at penalties is Megan Rapinoe. Pretty sure she’s only ever missed one in her career.”
Fans think those mentioned in the tweet are great goalscorers, but it takes different gravy to take a penalty kick. One needs to be focused and keep his/her cool while taking the penalty, which makes Rapinoe a great option than those mentioned.

I’m taking Megan Rapinoe. She’s ice cold. All these players are elite but penalties are a different game than regular play and goal scoring.

A few fans, whose favorite is Alex Morgan, also appreciated Rapinoe’s record with the penalties and will choose the latter to take the crucial penalty.

Megan Rapinoe. No question. She’s not the best field player in the world but she’s the best PK’er in the world. Veins made of ice. https://t.co/jBq5iJJ3uQ

Y’all know Morgan is infamous for being bad at PKs right? No one’s gonna pick a player who had one good season with lucky PK’s over Putellas or Ada who are actually consistent. Doesn’t matter though Megan Rapinoe is the obvious choice, she doesn’t miss.

We know Lyon star Hegerberg for her set pieces more than the penalties. She has taken five penalties so far in her career and scored all of them. Barcelona star Putellas scored 11 out of 13 penalties in her career. Alex Morgan also comes close to Rapinoe, scoring 13 of her 15 penalty kicks to date.
Meanwhile, Rapinoe scored 16 out of 17 penalties in her career so far. But the style of the player is what appeals to the fans most. Rapinoe and Morgan will be on the roster for this year’s Women’s World Cup, as per many, and will be interesting to see who takes the penalty duties with USWNT.
USWNT will hope for inspiring performances from Rapinoe and Morgan

USWNT is in Group E for the competition with Vietnam and the Netherlands. However, the final nation from the group is still unknown.
US Soccer fans expect Rapinoe and Morgan to be on the roster and take USWNT to glory after a disappointing showing by USMNT in Qatar Men’s World Cup. Morgan scored 16 goals in the 19 appearances in NWSL last season, while Rapinoe scored seven.
