When it comes to scoring goals, very few can match the prowess of Cristiano Ronaldo. In a career spanning over 20 years, the Portuguese icon has racked up 869 goals and 34 trophies. Despite reaching the pinnacle of success, the Al Nassr star still retains the same hunger and motivation he had as a teenager. Considering his current form, CR7 would easily hit the 900-goal mark. However, as per coach Luis Castro, the soccer legend touching the glorious peak will act as an inspiration for today’s generation.

With 20 goals and 10 assists in 22 games, it’s hard to believe the Portuguese icon turns 39 in 2 months. As the main man for Al Nassr, Luis Castro & Co will be banking on their talisman to continue scoring goals and power their title aspirations.

Currently 131 away, Luis Castro certainly believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is capable of achieving the historic four figures. When questioned regarding the same, he said, “It is a unique opportunity to show young people that things happen when they are taken care of.” It seems Castro is implying that his main man’s fitness and longevity are no accident. Considering how much work the Al Nassr man puts into diets, practice, and recovery, he is the ultimate model professional for young players across the globe.

On the sporting side, CR7 remains a fundamental piece of Luis Castro’s plans. Castro had previously claimed his captain was the best player in the world. As per the coach, to get the best out of Ronaldo, the team has to be built around him. He has managed to facilitate this with the signings of Sadio Mane and Otavio. As a result, the soccer icon’s game has gone up a level, and he is now the top scorer in the SPL.

While he continues breaking records, it seems Cristiano Ronaldo is not interested in the numbers. As per CR7, what matters the most is not the 1000-goal mark but the success of the team. What does he have to say about everything?
